A tail stick is usually the easiest.  I think there are a few sites that show you how to do it.  I find it easier on adults than crias.   The crias have little veins and wiggle too much.  I usually stick myself too.
  I try to do all of mine at birth using the cord blood from the placenta.  That is super easy and you don't have to stick anybody.

Has anyone ever done the blood sample themselves for the ARI registry? Can you give me some input as to how this is to be done? I would like to avoid a vet visit.
