RE: [AlpacaTalk] Allison
HI Janice,
Yes, I was horrified when she suddenly started attacking staff and cussing and being oppositional…she also tried to spear another resident with a fork.
In mid stream of this other stuff we had to stop and get her over to a doctor; it is a 28 mile drive each way and she was not wanting to cooperate.
It turns out that she had a Urinary Tract Infection---
Doctor says that is all too common. But, with proper treatment, she is becoming more herself and far less confused by later this past week.
I will be over there Tuesday as her furniture is finally being delivered by the moving company; we have had to borrow some from the facility where she is now living while hers was in transit. All that is difficult for folks in this age group…as you probably know all too well.
IN any case, you are so right---stress load around what is supposed to be our happy alpaca farm has been major!
It will be nice to return to private life…Thanks so much for you kind thoughts.
Allison

Allison, I am so sorry about your mother. I hope she will be ok. I
know what how stressful this must be for you.
Warmly, Janice
