RE: [AlpacaTalk] What's new? Temp and fleece

It makes sense to me that their fleece would be more dense……at least more volume…not necessarily better quality.  I don’t know enough or have enough experience to figure this one out on my own!

You go ahead and complain about your rain and mud.  I know that is hard to deal with, too.  I have a friend in Washington state that actually lost her home to it being sucked along in nasty rainy muddy weather………I don’t know if it was considered a mudslide or what.  Either way, house was condemned!

As for being a California sissy girl………..LOL!  I was born in Sunnyvale, Alameda County – Dad was Navy.  Spent my childhood in Florida, California and then we were sent to MD……..and I have been on the east coast since 1964.  I still remember wearing sweaters in the winter time……of course childhood memories can be clouded……..I don’t remember wearing a coat until we moved to MD.  We lived in Pacific Beach…….San Diego.  Loved it!  Walked to the beach.  Walked to school.  I remember ice plant growing like crazy in our back yard.  Avocado trees, banana trees, pomegranate trees………….heaven on earth it was to me.  Then we moved to what I considered (at the time) a Godforsaken Podunk country.  Actually, it is a lovely place but at the time we missed California so much we couldn’t dare give MD a chance!  We lived on the Chesapeake Bay and it was wonderful…….boating, crabbing, etc.  Experienced our first snow in 1965 or 66, not sure.  Anyway, it was a great place to raise kids because we could run wild all day………very few people lived in our area and we were healthy and active.

I think every coast has it’s pros and cons……..but I will say that I am partial to the east coast because our Autumn is awesome with the tree foliage, etc.  I prefer not so cold, but I do like having all four seasons, even if this one has been brutal this year!
