[AlpacaTalk] Help identifying blob found in pasture
Hi,
Both yesterday morning and this morning, we found a pinkish white blob, about an oz. that feels sort of "meaty". We are pretty sure it's not tape worms. I'm wondering if it's the mucous plug of a near-term dam, or something else? We have 3 due in that pasture between mid-September and mid-October.
Finding one yesterday we just figured that's probably what it was, but then finding the same exact thing this AM makes us wonder. It's in an area where one of my dams usually "does her morning job" and but she birthed on 8/30. Could it be something from this birth? We checked everyone's behinds with nothing of evidence found.
Thanks for your thoughts.
