I would hold off then on the llama as they will overeat and get fat because the alpacas are usually free-fed. We tried making a creep bar so our llama wouldn't get into the alpaca's hay and could be fed separately, but she figured out how to do the limbo under it no matter what we did, including a board at the bottom. They are little piggies and if they get too fat, their pasterns will break down. SUSAN OLSON Alpaca Loco Riverside, CA
