Re: [AlpacaTalk] Alpaca Kooler

I used 3/4" pipe, cuz I had it, and all the fittings I needed.  So, I guess I made a drippy hose!!  :)  Drip pipe should work too.  May have to make the holes larger.

I kinda priced what the fittings would cost, but cost will vary! :) If one were to buy a hundred foot roll of the 1/2", should be able to make five of them, figuring twenty foot each hoop.  If ya spring for the metal pipe insert parts, these things would be virtually indestructible. They wouldnt be damaged if ran over with a truck.  I had plastic fittings, some parts like the part the hose connects to were metal - (brass).

We use those 50' flat sprinkler hoses, but they are so easily turned over. I really like yours!

Did you make yours out of 1/2" drip system line and punch holes every 6" or so? I thunk I'll have to try that!

That is what a couple of the geldings were doing, laying on the sprinkler.  In fact, he is the one laying in the pic, Frankie ( DB ), with Elvis ( SG ).  This way they cant hog it all up! :)

GREAT idea, Jim!  We have a sprinkler hooked up to a battery-operated sprinkler timer with a splitter and the other hose end is hooked up to a hose in the water bucket, making an auto-waterer.  Works well but we have one piggy who lies on the sprinkler sometimes and the other girls can't get to it.
