Re: [AlpacaTalk] Thought I would likr to share this with you, now Pet Peeves
Hi Don,
It is true, my sister let her domain name registration expire. It is
also true that in 2004, "stardustalpacas.
As I previously stated, my sister and mother share an AOBA membership.
That searchable farm and ranch locator on AOBA only lists those who
pay extra to be included there, so very few farms will come up on
that search feature. I know mine won't. If there's some other search
feature, please give me the link, because I can't find it.
ARI lists only my sister as owning the BREEDER ID of "stardust". Same
as I own "white lotus", and "west wind ltd". No one else is allowed
to use that in their animal naming. If you tried to reserve
"Stardust" or "Stardust Alpacas" as your breeder identifier with ARI,
you would not be able to do so.
Yeah, it's funny the way ARI applies rules sometimes, but not always.
And capriciously as well. Like when I was searching for a new farm
name because of all those other "West Wind"s, I thought "Trade Winds"
Alpacas would be a nice farm name. But they wouldn't let me reserve
that because some named a gelding "Tradewind". Lame? I think so.
You also won't find my farm name on AlpacaNation. Turns out it was a
huge waste of money.
What can I tell you about your web search, my search of "stardust
alpacas" showed many listings with "Stephanie Zeleny, Stardust
Alpacas" in the result. Pages of them.
