[AlpacaTalk] frozen lip

<<<Janice - if it happens again, you can pour warm water on a frozen lip
to get
it "unstuck". That is the safest method.

SUSAN OLSON>>>>

That was my first impulse, but then I realized it was not going to get
above freezing for a couple of days and nights, at that time it was
below freezing with wind chill of minus 5 so I figured I would only do
more harm as there would just be more water to freeze on his face. I
decided safest to leave it be. I would have had to halter him to pour
water on his face and attempt to dry it off. Because of where it was
the haltering process likely would have broken off the frozen part and
possibly injured him. It appears fine now after the thaw.
Thanks! Janice
