NO essential oils should be used on cats. I run a feral cat rescue and
essential oils are toxic to cats. When training alpacas or horses, I spray any
type of lavender spray on my hands and it REALLY helps calm them! I learned
that trick from a holistic horse vet I use.

Pennyroyal in plant form is fairly safe to use, some natural flea repellant
use pennyroyal essential oil...the EO should not be used on cats as it is
toxic to their liver.

Hi Judith,
Pennyroyal is the "natural" dewormer and deflea-er that holistic households
use. I think it is indigenous to the east coast and occurs naturally in
pastures and fields. You might look at a "wildflower" book for your area or
a good herbal to see if that is what you have in your fields.
