Re: [AlpacaTalk] Beheaded Cria

This is awful. Something similar happened to a families goat out here in Pennsylvania sometime this past year. If I remember correctly, it was a young girls goat, and she was the one that found it. Terrible. Just cannot imagine someone doing something like that. Your heart really goes out to people when you hear things like that. Also too, they found 2 or 3 skinned and mutilated dogs up this way. They couldn't identify which breed they were because they were so badly disfigured from being beaten and cut apart.

Hello Heather and Alpacatalkers-the cria was beheaded October, 2006
and was a week old fawn raised by Tana Ward in Wisconsin. After a
tumultuous time with their prior township and not allowing animals on
their home site they moved only to have this happen a few weeks after
moving in to the new home that did allow animals. I give Tana a great
deal of Kudos for handling this as well as they did. A very difficult
time. The REWARD fund is still growing and is seeking additional
funding so that whoever did this and for whatever reason are caught
and brought to face the Wards. If you have a dollar or two that you
could send I know the Wards would appreciate this and the money will
eventually be paid to the the person(s) who did this. Imagine coming
home to the farm and seeing the beheaded carcass of your newborn cria
in the pasture - this is what the Wards had to live through - help
catch those responsible and donate what you can- remember, pennies
grow to dollars, dollars to thousands and thousands to incentivise
someone to shed light on what happened. I am not certain who is
managing the collection at this time but you could contact Tana and
she would know to whom to direct the funds.
