I treated my goats with Foof Grade Diatomaceous Earth. You put it in
a tube sock - tie it off and "powder puff" them all over with it.
Then clean all the lay areas and sprinkle it on the ground before
adding new bedding. Also add it to their dust bath area. Reapply in
2 weeks to kill emerging lice. It worked like a charm and is
certainly not more dangerous than Sevin dust.. :0) It seems that
there is much trepidation out there about the use of DE but I have
finally wholeheartedly embraced it and feel totally safe about its
