Re: [AlpacaTalk] more on gucky eyes

hi Amanda - this website is great!! i've saved it for future references - there is a picture of an alpaca with conjunctivitis and it looks just like fonzie's eye, but it doesn't mention the cloudy eye, and yes, my biggest worry is his sight.

The rescue remedy has him much less stressed, and not so resistant to treatment, and the vet should be here within the hour - in the meantime i've just kept up with the simple solutions - both my husband and i have taken the day off from out outside jobs today, so at least we are catching up on outdoor chores - we have mud from fence to fence which doesn't make anything any easier with the alpacas

still waiting for the vet,

Wendy,

Ignore my last email. I have had no success along those lines, but I
have just found a website that I think you may find very helpful. This
is the URL http://www.shagbarkridge.com/info/vet.html I just googled
alpacas health medical eyes, and there are a couple of veterinary sites
that could hopefully offer you some information at the least at to what
it might be.

If his eye is going cloudy my only concern is speed, as he would not
want to lose the sight in it. Best of luck Wendy,
Best Wishes
