General alpaca discussion groupHi all,

I have been following all of the posts about the virus/Snots that is killing alpacas. My question is... how safe is it to BUY alpacas now if you re just getting started? I would appreciate hearing from some vet/medical types if possible :)

We live in NY and I havent seen any cases marked on the map here. But what can I do to make our first purchases safer?
