In defense of the other group(s). Censorship occurs when folks violate the rules. Alpacasite is a "minimal" politics site for there is another to cover that. Some politics are allowed, but when it gets personal or beaten to death the moderator asks folks to move the discussion to the politics site.
Advertising is also not allowed, nor is posting for events or shows. Many seem to screw this one up and perhaps a signature line is a bit excessive and warranted removal.
Sometimes for whatever reason, the internet plays tricks and folks end up unable to send and receive emails to their groups. I would encourage anyone who thinks they have been censored to write or call the moderator and be certain this is so. If you have been censored ask for an explanation. Might be a mistake or perhaps all you need to do is say that you won't break the rule again, or maybe you weren't aware the rule existed.
Several months ago (maybe a year), an individual was removed and other members lobbyed to get them back in, for they did not perceive the posts as overstepping limits of the site and it worked! I would certainly ask for an explanation. Certainly would be a shame to be out of touch with a group you would like to be a member of, if it is all a silly misunderstanding or a mistake.
