Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: Other alpaca discussion groups
Hello everyone who's talking about another group that seems to be
censoring posts,
I thought I might just chirp in; being from Blighty (my pet name for
England), and mostly removed from any politics if I can at all help it.
It's just a thought, but if this group (not this one, the other one ...
alpacasite), is closed to having an open forum for discussion, and so
it's not satisfying the wishes of those members who want to be free to
exchange, moderated as any other group is moderated - appropriately, and
to trust it's members to be grown ups (which we all are), then ... just
leave said group, join another that suits you and your needs, and don't
give it (other said group ... alpacasite), another thought. Said group
would soon settle into a harmonious niche of like minds without having
to worry about anything potentially censorable, (perhaps they are a
sensitive lot), and you will be able to find a niche that is more
comfortable for you. It's a win, win situation really. And that's one
of the ways that groups work; if you don't feel that you fit, it's
probably because it's not the right group for you and there are other,
perhaps better alternatives just waiting for you to find them. Staying
in a group that's not right makes a miserable atmosphere for everyone.
It seems to me that this is just the natural order of things. So "move
on, and move out" (did John Wayne say that?)
Anyway you sound nice and a helpful soul, so welcome to this forum. Hope
it's a better fit for you.
Best Wishes
Amanda
