Socalpaca (the latter bounced) in hopes of keeping everyone in the

This is just a heads up for newer breeders who may not be in the
habit of buying a full year's worth of hay each fall. My hay
supplier of the last 8 years warned me that this year his supply
which normally goes through spring would be out by December. (G & K
hay in Gilroy--at truckload amounts, orchard grass was $13/bale fob ).

Hay is in short supply and very expensive. However, it is still a
good idea to get enough hay to go through the first cutting next
spring if you possibly can since you may have great diffuculty in
getting any after this fall.

Having had a huge problems getting hay my first winter I hope to keep
this from happening to any of you.
