Re: [Alpacasite] While we are on the topic - California hay broker recommendations
Gary,
Hmmmm, well somehow my broker managed to get some LOVELY Orchard grass out of Oregon about 3 weeks ago. So SOMEONE up there must have some! Did you contact the growers on the "Hay resources" site? I saw one posting from November, and they had Orchard...
Hope you find some.
Take care

Subject: [Alpacasite] While we are on the topic - California hay broker recommendations
We get our hay from two brokers, usually in 2-4 block shipments. They
are pretty good until late in the season. Last year both informed me
around this time that there was no decent grass hay available anywhere
on the west coast that they could find. This year they both warned
they anticipated being out of grass hay late in the year and to stock
by Sept..
Doesn't anyone know of someone that is so well connected that if I
called up and ordered two blocks today, I would get decent quality?
If you don't want to clutter up the forum send recommendations to my
email. (However, I'll bet almost all California breeders are
interested.)
Thanks for any recommendations, I'll be trying them next year,
Greystone Manor
