Hi Jeff -- not a "real" judge but I did judge a small, non-AOBA-certified show last summer and was asked to check for this defect. I guess I was as surprised as anyone when I did indeed find an animal who had one ear that was substantially thicker than the other, and whose ear channel was quite small in that ear. I'm sure that this was not a "mild expression" of the defect because it was quite evident upon palpation and examination, but how many of us have been (until now, anyway) checking their cria's ears for normalcy?
