Re: [Alpacasite] Breaking news from 2036
Rick,
Thanks for the updates! But one piece of news you missed, it has been announced that a new specialty item will be arriving at the "hottest" boutique delis...a lovely new cheese called "cou brouillé" (fuzzy neck)
How they milk those darned alpacas, I will never know!

Subject: [Alpacasite] Breaking news from 2036
Hi all,
Just for grins, I thought I'd pass on some breaking news.
I modified my universal translator and with a simple reversal on the
polarity on the pharphegnugen, turned it into a time machine and went into
the future.
Here's the news from 2036:
ARI President Sarah Stepp has announced she will not be running for a 3rd
term. With her schedule as Senate majority leader and upcoming bid for
President of the US, she just doesn't have the time needed.
Amy McCroskie has decided to bribe Arlin. She'll be running for president
again. This would be her 12th term on a BOD. Arlin could not be reached for
comment, but he was heard swearing in the background.
Sarah's husband, AOBA president Quint Forstner-Stepp, will continue to serve
as AOBA president as he feels that the breed standards issue will soon be
resolved. He does intend to step down when he moves to the White House
though.
In a surprise move, it has been reported that Bill Gates recently acquired
Barnum and Bailey, two alpacas. While the reports do not state a purchase
price, it was confirmed that the title to the State of Hawaii had recently
been transferred from Mr. Gates to the sellers.
While Jerry Forstner was on vacation to Mars, Libby called him asking for
Mars bars. Jerry just didn't have the heart to explain, stopped by the local
7-11 on the way home, and picked the up the chocolate bars for her. He has
reported that he will vacation on Venus from now on.
Libby ate the Mars bars.
PacaStuff has reported it now has retail outlets in all of the major US and
European markets. It recently announced that it will be selling franchises,
the first two to be available in Eloy, Arizona and Talequah Oklahoma.
It has shipped approximately $10,000,000,000 in finished goods to Peru.
The alpaca export to Peru, Bolivia, and Chili has been going as planned,
although all three countries are complaining that we aren't sending enough
to meet demand. China is finally happy with our exportation quotas.
Rick Horn Jr. from California reported he has had no males born on his farm
in 3 years and 1892 births.
He credits this to only breeding on a waning moon, ACV in the water,
Montovanni records played during breedings, and a super-duper ultrasound
technique.
With dylithium crystals at an all time high, it's currently costing about
$86.00 to beam an alpaca to another farm for breeding. AI is being
investigated as an alternative, but it will require a vote from the
membership. Based on current numbers, we'll need 600,562,139 members to vote
in order to meet the quorum.
