I absolutely agree with you, Sue. I just backed away from a sale to someone I didn't feel was qualified (he didn't know what he wanted, wasn't willing to learn, and didn't appear to me to be someone I would trust with my best female!). My concern in the thread that prompted this is that someone is putting together very modestly priced packages of older females to entice new buyers. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, my concern is that the new buyers fully understand that they will be getting only what they pay for, and that pricing not be so tempting that it seduces otherwise unsuitable buyers into the industry by setting unreasonably low expectations for industry requirements. This type of marketing needs a very extensive educational component which, I believe, the farm in question understands, but I wanted to point out the hazards, just in case.
