[Alpacasite] Re: Cracked corn and whole oats.

We give PRESSED corn, when needed to our females. Cracked corn can
and does cause choking problems and lots of sneezing from the dust
in cracked corn. I said females, because corn has no nutritional
value for alpacas and is just empty calories. We give it to selected
females, such as nursing pregnant moms during the winter, or if one
has lost quite a bit of weight after birthing. We give it as a
supplement. The feed that we give to everyone has a VERY small
amount of pressed corn in it. I don't know about oats by itself
either, but is also in the feed that we use. This is just my opinion
and personal experience.
