RE: [AlpacaTalk] Equipment
I have hay boxes like Heather spoke of.I also have hay racks and bunks made for goats,a few made for horses.I use large stock tanks with in tank heaters in the Winter,I also have some heated buckets and tubs that have built in heaters. I have over the fence feeders and I also have large bowls that I can sit/spread out on the ground.(they are cheap plastic oil pans from Wal-Mart)I order some things on line and I watch the sales at the feed stores also.I do not like to pay shipping.I used a semi-soft mineral block that is labeled for goats and sheep.I have tried many minerals over the last 15 years and these are the easiest and the alpacas like them.I have plastic block boxes with holes in the bottom that they sit in.Good luck getting everything set up just the way you want it.Alpacas are lots of dun and they are addictive...........Tina
