[AlpacaTalk] leg problem still puzzling

No one seemed to have any comments when I recently posted about my matriarch and her leg problem.    So thought I would try again.
She is having the oddest problem that comes and goes.
Her rear leg will go gimpy on her.    It seems to happen every few days for maybe 15-30 min.   She can't use it and I can see it is kind of floppy around loosely from her hip joint.   It looks to me like a cramp or spasm as she can barely put it on the ground (but the looseness at the hip isn't consistent with spasm or cramp.....I don't think).   But she will put it down and her toes are pointing down and she can walk by using the tips of those toes for balance.
It looks pretty bad, and then shortly she is back to normal again.
There is no vet, so that advice is of no help to me.
I just wondered if anyone else had witnessed anything like this or had any thoughts.
She won't let me actually manipulate it to see if I can determine where the problem might originate, but I have determined it is not something in her toe and the fact that it resolves on its own tells me it is not something in her foot.     It looks like and resolves like it is a cramp or spasm.   But why would she keep having it in the same leg repetitively?    Altho I have a similar problem, not every night but a lot of nights with leg cramps/spasms in one of my legs.
Thanks!   Janice
