Thanks everyone! I may have responded to some of you personally but here is the situation, in case you know of anyone that can look into this:

I received a call yesterday from a very upset lady out in Eugene Oregon. She read the following post on Craigslist:

The post starts with Alpacas $5. Then here is the rest:
"The wife will be gone Sept 7 , we will butcher ourselves if not sold by then. It is hunting season and does look and taste like venison. She won't know the difference.
We have a four alpaca that need new homes. If butchered the approx yield is 30-40 pounds. $200.00 each.
Alpaca meat is very sweet and lean. it tastes much like a very young deer.
Butchering is not required. The wool is valuable and could be sold for money and their waste makes a good compost that can also be sold. We just can't keep them over this winter and while she is gone will be the perfect time to put them in our freezer if that"s how their fate goes."

I was hoping to find someone out there that could look into this and perhaps help the alpacas.
