I just checked the Evans manual and it states there that the 2 most common diarrheas in 2-8 wk olds are coccidia and corona virus.  I might be confused/not remembering/in la-la land...but seems like I heard corona virus produces a white diarrhea. In any case, if I"m right -- and I don't know -- Dr. Long says it is usually self limiting, probably sheds more in the early stages of the diarrhea, is difficult to diagnose and requires quickly getting the specimen to the lab. He further says it is usually self limiting and requires supportive measures. The Evans manual says a little more, but I guess I'd call the vet. If you have the new edition of the Evans Manual, it's toward the end of the cria related section.

Hi - just went out to check on the new boy and our 3 week old cria went to the poo pile and before and after she peed, some long white stringy stuff came out.  I smelled it and it doesn't smell infected or like pus, but I couldn't tell where it was coming from either (anus or vulva).  Her dam is the hardest to transport and we have no vet who makes ranch calls.  She looks fine other than this and I'm going to take her temp.  Any other suggestions?
