I wait until spring when the alpacas are tied down for shearing. There is a large vein on the inside hind leg that is easily accessible and GREAT for drawing blood, plus they can't move. That's the only way I'll draw blood now. It makes life so much easier for me and for the alpacas. SUSAN OLSON Alpaca Loco Riverside, CA
