It sure has been quiet here lately! And I am having the same problem
with mud mud and more mud. It is unbelievable. I can't even get any
hay in here because the mud is so deep; am really starting to sweat it.
Good for maybe another 2 wks and I do not like to let my hay get down
this low. We can't go more than 3 days tops without rain and the
ground never gets a chance to dry up.

One morning we awoke to the hay shed blowing away, after the double
tarps both ripped and blew off and acting like sails. What a way to
start the day and i had *just* the day before been so proud of all the
work I did in that shelter cleaning it up making it all nice and pretty
- all wasted effort, back to a muddy mess after being without the top
for an hour or so while I frantically worked, with my 11yo dd, in the
pouring rain and blowing wind trying to get it back up and covered again.

Never a dull moment.

I've been wondering how everyone is doing as well; haven't seen our
regulars posters in quite a while. Hopefully that is a good sign that
all the fur babies are doing well. Mine are doing good; no problems on
that front, thank goodness. They have been pronking like crazy :-). I
am just stressing about parasites with all the standing water, poop, and
just general icky wet conditions everywhere. The occ good day we have
I seem to always be otherwise committed to appts and such and can't get
out there to round them up and inject them. Would not even attempt to
start a 5 day course of Safeguard in this weather as it is pouring more
often than not and I would certainly miss a day and have to start all
over.

Janice in NW GA, counting the days till Spring, or just some dry weather
at least.
