RE: [AlpacaTalk] Seeking input on Alpacas
That is not something I ever thought to do! I always paid for my breedings when they took place. Isn't that usual procedure? Would this also be a way to rate sellers or breeders? Could we recommend services/business to avoid? I believe there is a true need for a site that can tell the good, bad and ugly experiences that buyers and sellers have had. RightPet is an educational site which allows individuals to rate the breeds/species of animals they've owned, and recommend services/businesses they like. For Alpacas, users can rate attributes like appearance, temperament, growth rate, fiber quality, tolerance to heat/cold etc.. They also give an "overall" rating. The idea is that potential owners can read these ratings to help educate themselves and see if an animal is appropriate for them and what they want to use the animal for. Rescues, clubs and suppliers can also be added.
