Tim, I have to disagree with your email. It really isn't fair to put this blame on the poor owner, who obviously knew what she was doing. A beserk male is NOTHING like a bossy female or any other animal, for that matter. Until you have experienced one of those, everything else is a piece of cake. They CAN be trained out of it but it is a huge commitment of time and patience and very unfair to ask of an unsuspecting owner. This breeder in question knew the animal was beserk and sold him anyway without mentioning it. Someone could have been seriously injured or killed and it could have been an adult, child, dog or other alpaca. I would suggest if this happens to anyone else, they take videos of the animal, get a letter from their vet confirming the animal's behavior and go straight to court, where they would win the cost of the animal, the cost of boarding it and the cost of emotional stress. If more people did that, we would no longer have irresponsible, unethical breeders out there polluting the industry.SUSAN OLSONAlpaca LocoRiverside, CA
