If you make a small pen and herd her into it, she will not be unable to run away and you should be able to give her her shot. I am 5'1" and give all my animals their shots by myself by crowding them into a small pen.  Flossie

Subject: [AlpacaTalk] Grooming chute

 

Hey all,
Does anyone out there have a detailed plan on how to build a chute for grooming and shots?
I have a 169 lb girl that will not sit still for a shot and we are having to take her down to administer dectomax. she is pregnant and I would rather not do this.
I have to enlist the help of a friend to do it.
