I feed flax seed meal mixed in with the lactating females' pellets.  Start out at the rate of a couple tablespoons per animal and go up to about a 1/4 cup per animal if need be.  It makes their fleece really nice!  Just like human kids and all other animals, alpaca crias have growth spurts and weight gain plateaus, so I wouldn't worry too much about it unless he looks sick or starts losing too much weight.
