We can all hope for the best, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way. There are some crazy animals, just as there are crazy humans. It happens and sometimes we never know why. I am sorry for your loss and yet glad to know that you are done with the fear of that animal. Although I do not subscribe to dominion over all life and that people are smarter, more capable or whatever, sometimes we have to do what's right for us......and in the end, I think it saves the animal pain of some kind.
Here's hoping you never have to experience that again and likely, you won't.......and thanks for being brave enough to clue all of us in on your decision. It may prove helpful to someone else in the future.
