Oh my gosh. I can't imagine such a lost. Last sunday a racoon got into our chicken coop and killed all 40 of our 4 month old chickens. It was awful! I never saw such a mess. We got them as day old chicks and they were our first chickens. I felt so guilt. I cried for two days. We re-enforced our coop and fencing and just got more chicks on Weds but they were chickens. Not like alpacas. I would probably sleep in the barn or bring them in the house. We do have two wonderful Maremma's out with the herd and it makes us feel so much better to know they are being watched.
