Great advice!  The only thing I would add is make sure you have a good vet close by,
used to working with camelids and a source of good hay.  Then you’re set!

What you absolutely HAVE to do is.....take a breath....relax....enjoy your alpacas. I was told once that 95% of the things you worry about never happen...and the other 5% you couldn't have prevented anyway.  So....enjoy your fiber boys.....and ask for help when you need to.  Otherwise, you will learn as you go, like the rest of us.
