[AlpacaTalk] displaying fleeces at fiber festival
Hi,
I am getting ready to have a vendor booth at a fiber festival this weekend, and have about 20 fleeces that I hope to sell there. Any recommendations on how to display the fleeces? I have 12" square shelves for displaying roving and fiber, but my large alpaca blanket fleeces are too big and I'm afraid they will spill over and fall out of the shelves. I was just going to put them on the floor in front of the tables (when I only had about 6 of my own fleeces to sell), but now I have too many that I'm afraid it will look cluttered (a friend brought some for me to sell for her). I was thinking about having samples displayed on the table (with tags giving the price per pound and the total weight of the fleece), and people can just ask to see the bag of fleece is they are interested. Any ideas on how to best display these small samples? I'm really not very good at the whole marketing thing (and haven't done very many fiber festivals yet), so I appreciate your help. Emaly
