Hi Janice,
You may want to contact Carolina Great Pyrenees rescue. I don't know if
they will adopt to you in GA but I am sure they have contacts with other
rescues. I know that CGPR has an LGD rescue system and that the dogs are
tested on a farm with a variety of animals including alpacas before being
adopted out as LGDs. I was debating getting a dog from them, but decided on a
Maremma instead, but I would be very comfortable with taking one of their
rescues as they are so carefully screened.
