That is so cool, Wendy! Anyone else have older alpacas that pronk? I'm
curious. Also, the girls pronk a lot more than the boys do - is that par for
the course in everyone's herds?

Its my favorite time of day, dusk. I stop whatever I'm doing and watch them
pronk. One of our five year old females is the best at it even when she's
hugely pregnant, she scares me then.
That's actually how we fell in love with alpacas, watching crias pronk. I
went to buy some orchard grass advertised in a local newspaper and low and
behold, it was at an alpaca farm! AND we arrived right at dusk, it was
magical.
We were hooked and now here we are, four years later. : )

I had the pleasure one morning awhile back at watching around6 cria doing
that very thing in their pen, it was just the most beautiful sight I had
