[AlpacaTalk] hi from a new member
Hello,
My name is Pam, I'm from AZ, and just yesterday we added 4 Alpacas to our
family. We also have 3 sheep and a few goats.
This was very unexpected, so even though we are thrilled to have them, we
are rather unprepared! But we already love these beautiful animals.
I've been reading about them online from many different sites and learning
all I can.
My question for now is, what do you all give your alpacas for treats? I've
read carrots for one.
Our sheep and goats love animal crackers for treats. They get a few every
day. Are these okay once in a while for alpacas, or are they a no no?
I'm looking forward to learning all I can about my alpacas, and also using
their wool for the needle felted animals I make. I already make them with
sheep wool, but alpaca fleece will be a fun, new adventure.
