Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: Betty Brock's Dismissal
I LOVED Connie Alexander. She went way out of her way to help us as a new
ranch understand the show rules and even some alpaca husbandry. She was
fantastic. Did you know they didn't even give her a chance to train the new
person or to complete the move of the office? Without an explanation, they just
let her go. THAT wasn't right, and now apparently Betty Brock is facing the
same thing? It really makes me wonder about AOBA and you'd think they would
be concentrating on getting only good publicity right now.

Heehee. You won't get reprimanded for not putting sig blocks on this
chat group! I omit mine intentionally most of the time, partly
because I post so much, I think everyone knows who I am!
Apparently, they say it was due to budget issues. However, wasn't the
2009 budget approved by the membership, with the show division (and
Betty's salary) included?
I just think things are getting fishier and fishier around Linbar
Drive, Nashville, TN, and starting to stink to high heaven.
I post questions and opinions, stated as such, and I get personal
phone calls from the president of the AOBA board pressuring me to
change my views and words.
I think the AOBA powers that be are their own worst enemies right
now. They need to lower dues fees and actually give us value for
those dues. Right now the only benefit we receive is the opportunity
to give them still more money.
First they terminated Connie Alexander's services, which were
exemplary by the way. And now they've escorted Betty Brock out of the
building. Shameful.
What will they do next?
