Re: [AlpacaTalk] Re: Feed

I wonder how many times I have to keep repeating myself? The very
very small amount of wheat, oats, and barley in the pellet I feed is
only added as a binder to keep the feed in pellet form, rather than
crumbles. It is not a major ingredient. In addition, that very small
amount of wheat oats and barley is organic human grade mill end run
from Grain Miller's in Eugene, Oregon. Human grade. Yes, obviously
tested. Again, in the very off chance that the wheat oats barley was
contaminated, the amount the individual animals would ingest is
miniscule, since the amount in the feed itself is miniscule. It's not
like most feeds where you have 50% by bulk in corn or DDGS or lord
knows what else. Ours is more like less than 5% of the total
ingredients.

I would say the flax seed in our pellet is of more concern than the
tiny tiny amount of grain in our feed. And, I'm sure everyone knows
that we would prefer to have NO grain or grain product of any kind in
our pellet.
