If the male is a gelding he can show in a gelding halter class and be
used in Performance. If he is registered as a non-breeder he cannot be
shown in halter (AOBA rule) but can be used in Performance, unless the
show has a rule that the alpaca has to show in halter to be in
Performance. That would be a show rule not an AOBA rule.
