[AlpacaTalk] Fleece testing labs
It's getting to be that time again. Shearing day and testing fleece
samples.
Here's a list of links to fleece testing labs. I'm even including Ian
Watt's site, although I think his prices are, shall I say, excessive.
I've written to the Montana State Extension "Sheep Institute" to
inquire about sending samples to them, they do have an OFDA 2000
machine, in case anyone is interested in using that technology. I'm all
for supporting our public universities and colleges. I went to public
university and I know they can use all the funding they can get!
Support our education system!
And have no fear, you can send your samples to New Zealand and
Australia, and Canada too, without fear of finding yourself in
violation of any Customs or Quarantine regulations. All you have to do
is write what you're sending, which would be "Alpaca fleece samples" on
the customs declaration sticker that is placed on your package.
