It helps if the cap is one of the "taller" ones...even though Alpacas cush most of the way, it is just easier if they can somewhat stand on occasion.

Now, getting them "up" into the bed of the truck may be a different question. Some will, some will walk up a ramp, some won't unless they are dragged kicking and screaming!

Now I have a question. Can an alpaca travel in the back of a truck with a
cap and if so what size would you get. I can put an alpaca in the back of
my van in a emergency but would rather use the truck if this is an option.
I don't always need to hook up the 22 ft goose neck to take one animal to
