[Alpacasite] Re: New poll for Alpacasite

I disagree with the characterization of Ken's posting
as a "political" message. What the individuals in
question did was fraud and harmed both the llama and
alpaca communities. Now this group has launched
"Collectible Llamas" - an organization with its own
registry to promote suri "llamas." Magnifire, the
llama-alpaca cross that sparked the sanctions, is
described as a llama in the ads for this organization,
repeating the lie. If you hear it often enough, are
you going to believe it?

So what is the benefit of a group of breeders churning
out cross-bred animals to satisfy the demand for the
latest fad suri llamas? What happens to the animals
that aren't born with the desirable fiber (are they
buried in the back pasture or are they dumped on the
market)? How does this impact your marketing and
sales of your purebred animals, alpacas or llamas?

Explain to me how this is "politics" and not a viable
concern to reputable breeders.
