[Alpacasite] Re: Adverse reactions in cria to CDT shot

Alpaca crias can have allergic reactions to
vaccinations, and it's a good idea to have epinephrine
on hand just in case. Your vet should be able to
provide this and advise you on storage (it must be
refrigerated), dosage and administration.

Also, adult animals can develop a sensitivity and have
a reaction, so be sure to observe your animals for an
hour or so after giving vaccinations. Sometimes you
can switch from CD&T to Covexin 8 to eliminate this.

Keep in mind there's a very good reason for these
vaccines, so don't stop giving them out of fear of a
reaction.
