Believe me Ray, I was not concerned that the buyer was going to have
to cash in his life insurance to make this purchase. Nor do I begrudge
the seller the price they got for their female.

I was trying to follow Ian's lead and start a thoughtful dialogue on
the future of the alpaca market.

If you want to know my real concern, there is an example that is used
in most basic economics classes that I think might parallel our buying
and selling alpacas. That is the tulip bulb craze in Holland in the
1600's. If you want to review the basics, look up "tulip bulb mania".

Now before you tell me that alpacas are not tulip bulbs, I will have
to agree:) But are there economic parallels?
