[Alpacasite] Crusty mouth?

We have an eight-month old male that continuously gets a crusty mouth. It
happens in the corner of his mouth, on each side. The crust is black and
quite hard.

As I type this, I realise that he hasn't been weaned. So, we'll do that
tomorrow.

We've tried various creams, including a tea-tree based cream, with no
success.

Any ideas?
