Dear Ian,

One answer from my personal experience: Although I would never dream of
changing a breeder identifier because I respect the care that went into
making the selection and breeding decisions that produced the animal, I
once bought an animal because I loved her fleece (14.2 microns, very dense
and crimpy), but was not crazy about her name (that was given to her by the
folks who imported her). Figured I would change it to something more
uplifting, perhaps "Angelique". Got to know her personality. Kept the old
name.

Smiles,

Ruthanne
