[Alpacasite] needing a sounding board of impartial people
With all this talk of getting people into Alpacas I am fairly new to having Alpacas. I have a chance to buy some more animals at a reasonable price. the animals are nice but the farm owner has come into a bit of a situation. They do not have a good reputation anymore in our area and I have been upfront about knowing the problem. They certainly are knowledgeable and do love the animals. So you ask Ok what is the problem.
I am wondering if by me buying from them will people feel these animals are less in their eyes is it a situation I should stay away from? I feel that I have a chance to add to my herd without having to mortgage my house :-)
I am taking no chances and have told them I am checking the livestock records for the animals to make sure everyone is registered properly . The fathers of these animals are ones that I really like.
What would you guys do
Lori
