We have owned alpacas for a number of years and we take the time to look at everyone on a fairly routine basis. We noticed Calista cushed in a position that was just slightly off. Had we not just read your Alpaca Talk, we would not had thought there was anything to even think about.  Just to test your cues, we decided to double check her. She jumped right up as we came towards her. We got her into the barn and her temperature was 104! We called our vet and Calista is now on antibiotics. Thank You!
